Its commitment is to make quality education and continuous upskilling accessible to a wide range of learners.Role Description The General Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records and supporting the overall accounting operations of the organization. The position handles day-to-day accounting activities, including recording and monitoring financial transactions, account reconciliations, preparation of financial reports and schedules, and monitoring of payables and receivables.The General Accountant ensures compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies while providing timely and accurate financial information to support management decision-making.QualificationsDemonstrates sound knowledge of accounting principles and accurately applies them in daily transaction recording, journal entries, account maintenance, and financial documentation.Ensures completeness and accuracy when reviewing transactions, billings, invoices, receipts, account entries, and supporting documents.Knowledge of Philippine accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.Effectively handles and records cash receipts, cash transactions, disbursements, and check releasing while observing established controls and procedures.Experience with MS Office applications, particularly Excel for spreadsheets and financial models.Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on accuracy and continuous process improvement.Effective written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related fieldPrevious experience in an educational institution or service-oriented organization is a plus.
