Location: Sharjah (On-site)Employment Type: Full-TimeAbout the RoleOttor is hiring on behalf of our client in Sharjah.

We are seeking a proactive and experienced General Accountant to independently manage and oversee the restaurant’s day-to-day financial operations. The ideal candidate comes from a strong Food & Beverage background and has direct hands-on experience uniting POS data with cloud accounting software and third-party delivery platforms.Key ResponsibilitiesCloud Bookkeeping & Reporting: Maintain accurate general ledger entries, chart of accounts, and monthly closings using QuickBooks Online (QBO). Prepare accurate monthly P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.POS & Sales Auditing: Monitor and audit daily sales, cash/card settlements, and branch transactions through Foodics. Ensure seamless data synchronization between Foodics and QBO.Delivery Aggregator Reconciliation: Perform rigorous reconciliation of orders, commissions, promotional discounts, penalties, and bank settlements across Talabat, Noon, and Keeta. Identify and dispute discrepancies promptly.Cost & Inventory Control: Track COGS (Cost of Goods Sold), monitor food and packaging costs, assist with periodic stocktakes, and analyze wastage or inventory variances in Foodics.Payables, Receivables & Payroll: Manage vendor invoices, supplier statement reconciliations, petty cash, and monthly staff payroll processing.Tax & Compliance: Prepare and file timely VAT returns and ensure all financial practices comply with local regulations.Qualifications & RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.2–4+ years of proven experience as an Accountant specifically within the F&B / Restaurant & Café sector.Mandatory Technical Stack: Advanced working knowledge of QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Foodics POS.Mandatory Aggregator Experience: Demonstrated track record of reconciling high-volume transactions from Talabat, Noon, and Keeta.High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) for data matching across platforms.Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English is a strong plus.
