Company Description Real Estate Company – Tagamoa, 5th SettlementRole Description The General Accountant (Construction Experience) is a full-time, on-site role based in New Cairo. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations for construction projects, including recording transactions, maintaining general ledgers, and preparing financial statements. The General Accountant will handle project cost tracking, budget monitoring, and reconciliation of accounts, ensuring accurate allocation of expenses to projects. The role includes managing accounts payable and receivable, reviewing contracts and invoices, coordinating with project managers and procurement teams, and supporting month-end and year-end closing. The General Accountant will also assist with tax compliance, internal and external audits, and the implementation of accounting policies aligned with company and regulatory standards.Qualifications Strong general accounting skills, including journal entries, ledger maintenance, and financial statement preparation.Experience in construction accounting, including project costing, budget control, and cost allocation.Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, along with solid MS Excel skills.Knowledge of relevant tax regulations, financial reporting standards, and audit procedures.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and manage multiple deadlines.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are an advantage.Previous experience in a construction or project-based environment in Egypt or the Gulf region is highly beneficial.* Previous experience as an Accountant in a Real Estate Developer or Construction Company is required.
