Location: Remote, United StatesSalary: $320,000 – $360,000 (+ performance bonus)We are seeking expressions of interest for a General Counsel, modeled on an executive-level role with a high growth data center platform scaling its digital infrastructure deployment across North America.

The business acquires, develops, and operates hyperscale and enterprise data center assets, and is at a stage of growth where corporate governance, land acquisition, power procurement, and regulatory compliance are core drivers of enterprise value and execution velocity.What the General Counsel Would Do:Set and own the company's overarching legal, regulatory, and risk management strategy across all active and expansion markets, aligning land, energy, construction, and commercial contracting functions under a unified legal frameworkServe as the executive level interface with local municipalities, utility providers, regulatory commissions, and key hyperscale customers on complex real estate, power purchase agreements (PPAs), and cross jurisdictional complianceLead and build an internal legal and compliance team while managing external counsel to support aggressive pipeline expansion and asset operationPartner with Site Selection, Development, Finance, and M&A leadership to evaluate legal risk, structure JV agreements, and execute project financing, M&A diligence, and hyperscale lease transactionsShape the company's response to evolving data center regulations, including local zoning laws, environmental sustainability mandates, energy grid access rules, and data privacy frameworksWho You Are:15+ years of progressive legal experience, with a significant background in commercial real estate, energy procurement, infrastructure development, or technology infrastructure lawDemonstrable track record serving in a senior legal capacity (GC, AGC, or Partner) supporting large-scale data center or digital infrastructure portfoliosDeep familiarity with complex land acquisition, energy interconnect structures, hyperscale master services agreements (MSAs), and debt/equity financing structuresProven ability to build and lead high-performing legal teams in a fast-paced, capital-intensive environmentExecutive presence with the ability to represent the company credibly before board members, institutional investors, hyperscale clients, and government officialsWhy This Role:Executive leadership of a business-critical function at a pivotal stage of the company's scale-up phaseDirect influence over corporate strategy, risk posture, and multi-billion-dollar infrastructure investmentsHighly visible platform with direct reporting line to the CEO and meaningful equity upside potentialStrong project pipeline, well-capitalised sponsors, and a clear mandate to build out the legal departmentIf you'd like to register your interest confidentially, please reach out to our Head of Legal, Greg Walker.Please note, this is a call for expressions of interest and this advert is not related to a live vacancy.
