Regional General Counsel – LEGALIndustry Oil CompanyBased in Dubai – JLT45-48K per month – Single StatusEnglish and French Language a Must, Arabic a bonus.This role is for an oil company who supplies to Africa with a Head Office in Dubai.Applicants must have a Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B) as a minimum requirement. Advanced legal qualifications and admission to practice in a recognized jurisdiction are desirable.Minimum eight (8) years of post-qualification legal experience, preferably within a multinational corporation, international law firm, or energy-related industry.This role will provide strategic and practical legal advice in support of the Group’s operations across West Africa. The role is responsible for advising Management on corporate, commercial, regulatory and transactional matters, ensuring compliance with local legal requirements, mitigating legal risks, and supporting the Group’s business objectives across multiple jurisdictions, including OHADA member states and Francophone Africa. The position works closely with business teams, management, external counsel, and regional stakeholders to deliver effective and commercially focused legal solutions.Regional Experience: Demonstrated experience advising businesses operating across West Africa, particularly within OHADA jurisdictions and Francophone African countries.Legal Expertise: Extensive experience in:Corporate and commercial law.Commercial contract drafting and negotiation.Mergers & acquisitions and transactional work.Legal risk assessment and mitigation.Corporate governance and regulatory compliance.Dispute management and litigation oversight.Responsibilities will include:Legal Advisory & Business Support:Commercial Contracts & TransactionsCorporate Governance & ComplianceLegal Risk ManagementManagement of External CounselDispute Resolution & LitigationRegional SupportDocumentation & TranslationAd Hoc Legal Support
