Job DescriptionOur client, a leading community healthcare organization dedicated to serving underserved populations, is hiring a General Dentist. This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a community-focused setting while working with a supportive team.ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive general dentistry including examinations, diagnostics, preventive care, restorations, extractions, root canals, and other essential procedures. Manage a diverse patient population across all ages with a focus on delivering quality clinical services efficiently. Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants to ensure seamless patient care. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all clinical procedures and patient records. Uphold infection control and safety standards in compliance with regulatory guidelines. Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Engage in patient education to promote oral health and preventive practices. Support community outreach and educational activities as appropriate. RequirementsDDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school. Valid license to practice dentistry in New York State, with licensure secured prior to start date. Demonstrated proficiency in general dental procedures such as restorations, extractions, and root canals. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and colleagues. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Commitment to providing patient-centered care in an underserved community setting. New graduates are encouraged to apply provided licensure requirements are met within the credentialing timeline (~3–4 weeks). Prior experience in community or public health dentistry is advantageous but not mandatory. Nice To Have SkillsExperience with electronic health records (EHR) systems. Bilingual proficiency, particularly Spanish. Additional certifications in advanced procedures or specialties. Prior experience working in community health or public health settings.
