ELLARA Clinics supports continuous professional development and aims to build long-term relationships with patients and the community.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site General Dentist role based at ELLARA Clinics in Perambur. The General Dentist will perform routine and complex dental procedures, including examinations, diagnoses, restorative treatments, preventive care, and emergency interventions. Daily responsibilities include reviewing patient histories, developing treatment plans, administering local anesthesia, performing procedures such as fillings, extractions, root canal treatments, and periodontal therapy, and ensuring appropriate post-treatment follow-up. The role involves educating patients on oral hygiene, documenting clinical findings accurately, collaborating with dental assistants and support staff, and adhering to clinical protocols, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements. The General Dentist will also contribute to clinic improvement initiatives and maintain a professional, respectful approach to patient care.Qualifications Recognized degree in Dentistry (BDS or equivalent) and valid registration/license with the appropriate dental council or regulatory body.Proficiency in general dental procedures, including examinations, diagnostics, restorative treatments, preventive care, and basic endodontic and periodontal therapies.Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and commitment to evidence-based practice and patient safety.Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with patients of diverse backgrounds and collaborating with clinical and administrative teams.Solid understanding of infection control, sterilization protocols, and compliance with local healthcare regulations and ethical standards.Ability to manage time efficiently, prioritize patient cases, and maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.Comfort with using dental practice management software and digital tools (e.g., digital radiography, electronic records).Willingness to participate in continuing education, stay updated on advances in dentistry, and contribute to quality improvement in the clinic.
