Day-to-day responsibilities include performing examinations, diagnosing oral health conditions, developing treatment plans, and delivering restorative, preventive, and cosmetic dental procedures. The General Dentist will administer local anesthesia, perform fillings, crowns, extractions, and other standard treatments, while ensuring patient comfort and safety. The role also involves maintaining accurate clinical records, collaborating with dental assistants and hygienists, and educating patients on oral hygiene and preventive care. The General Dentist is expected to uphold clinical standards, follow infection control protocols, and contribute positively to the practice’s patient experience.Qualifications Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from an accredited dental school and active, unrestricted Idaho dental license (or eligibility to obtain).Demonstrated proficiency in general dental procedures, including examinations, restorative treatments, extractions, and preventive care.Strong diagnostic, treatment planning, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and adherence to clinical and safety protocols.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build trust with patients, explain treatment options clearly, and work effectively with the dental team.Commitment to continuous learning, openness to new technologies and techniques, and willingness to follow evidence-based best practices.Ability to work full-time on-site in Ammon, ID, with reliability, professionalism, and respect for diverse patients and colleagues.Prior experience in a family or general dentistry practice is preferred but not required; new graduates with strong clinical skills and a patient-centered approach are encouraged to apply.
