The clinic provides extended hours, weekend appointments, and welcomes walk-ins to ensure care is accessible and convenient for the community.Role Description The General Dentist is a full-time, on-site role based in Baton Rouge, LA. This position is responsible for providing comprehensive dental care, including examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning, restorative procedures, preventive care, and patient education. The General Dentist will perform routine and complex dental treatments, collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care, and maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. The role includes counseling patients on oral health practices, ensuring adherence to infection control and safety protocols, and supporting walk-in and scheduled patients across extended hours as needed.Qualifications Clinical dentistry skills, including diagnosis, treatment planning, restorative care, and preventive services.Proficiency in patient communication, education, and counseling to support diverse populations.Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team and coordinate care across services.Strong attention to detail, adherence to infection control standards, and accurate clinical documentation.Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from an accredited institution.Active, unrestricted dental license in the state of Louisiana or eligibility to obtain one.Current CPR/BLS certification and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.Experience in community health or serving patients with varying financial and insurance status is beneficial.
