SSIDC is committed to high-quality patient care, professional integrity, and continuous improvement in dental services.Role Description The General Dentist will provide comprehensive clinical care, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and management of common dental conditions for patients of diverse backgrounds. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing examinations, restorations, extractions, endodontic procedures, prophylaxis, and other general dentistry services, while maintaining accurate records and adhering to infection control protocols. The role involves educating patients on oral hygiene, counseling on treatment options, and collaborating with the orthodontic team to support integrated care. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Vellore, requiring consistent chairside presence, participation in clinic workflows, and contribution to a patient-centric environment.Qualifications Clinical general dentistry skills, including examination, diagnosis, restorative procedures, basic endodontics, and preventive care.Competence in patient communication, counseling, and chairside manner to explain treatment plans and promote oral health education.Ability to maintain accurate clinical documentation, follow infection control standards, and comply with regulatory guidelines.Collaborative mindset to work with orthodontic and support staff, contributing to coordinated and efficient patient care.Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from a recognized institution; valid dental license/registration as per local regulations.Prior experience in a clinical dental setting is preferred; exposure to digital dental technologies or orthodontic practices is an advantage.Strong attention to detail, ethical practice, reliability, and willingness to engage in ongoing professional development.
