This is a full-time, hands-on site role, from mobilization through structure, finishes and handover.The role requires practical leadership and clear reporting within a team supported by shared civil and MEP engineers. The foreman coordinates execution under approved instructions; engineering approvals, design decisions, commercial commitments and specialist safety duties remain with the designated responsible personnel.Key ResponsibilitiesConvert the Construction Manager’s weekly priorities into daily work plans, with named crews, work areas, achievable output targets and required resources.Lead morning coordination and workforce briefings. Explain the task, approved drawing, sequence, workmanship requirements and safety precautions, and confirm that supervisors and labour teams understand their instructions.Allocate LDBC support workers and coordinate subcontractor crews through their foremen and supervisors. Check attendance, skills and productivity; report shortages, idle time and poor performance to the CM promptly.Follow up daily commitments with subcontractors, confirm their manpower, tools and supervision, and resolve work front conflicts. Escalate repeated failures with factual records and proposed corrective action.Coordinate mobilization activities including hoarding, cabins, stores, welfare, temporary-service interfaces, gate arrangements and housekeeping, following the approved site layout and CM’s instructions.Coordinate site access and logistics with security, the storekeeper, subcontractors and trained traffic marshals. Keep pedestrian routes, emergency access and delivery areas clear and protected.Coordinate shoring, excavation, formation and waterproofing work fronts with the appointed specialists. Follow authorized stages and utility-protection restrictions; immediately report unsafe conditions or departures from the approved sequence.Supervise daily raft, reinforcement, formwork, concrete, curing, blockwork, plaster and finishing activities through the responsible trade supervisors, maintaining continuity between trades.Use the latest approved drawings and method statements. Raise discrepancies or missing information through the CM and engineers before affected work proceeds; do not allow crews to improvise design changes.Check workmanship during execution, identify defects early and organize rectification with the subcontractor and responsible engineer. Protect completed works and prevent avoidable rework.Coordinate MEP sleeves, openings, embeds and builders’ work with the MEP team before concrete pours or concealment. Refer clashes and proposed cutting or alterations to the responsible engineer.Prepare work areas for inspection and confirm required engineer, consultant and authority releases through the CM and document controller before pouring concrete, concealing work or advancing past hold points.Maintain a two-week work front and inspection lookahead with the CM. Identify when shared engineers, the surveyor, testing laboratory and specialist supervisors must attend, and flag missing coverage early.Forecast materials, tools, plant and delivery needs in advance through the CM and procurement team. Check package inclusions before requesting additional resources to avoid duplicate hiring or purchases.Coordinate material receipt, storage, issue, return and stock checks with the storekeeper. Track shortages, damage and waste; keep materials organized and suitable for their intended work areas.Enforce approved HSE controls with the HSE Officer, including PPE, access, housekeeping, welfare and toolbox briefings. Stop unsafe work and immediately report hazards, incidents and near misses to the CM and HSE Officer.Maintain barriers and exclusion zones. Do not allow removal of shoring, backdropping, access systems or other temporary works, or shutdown of dewatering, without the required authorized technical release.Maintain accurate manpower, hours, output, plant-use, delivery and progress-photo records. Support the QS with factual quantities and work records; do not approve payments, variations or additional costs.Submit an end-of-day report to the CM covering planned versus actual work, resources, inspections, deliveries, defects, delays, decisions needed and the next day’s priorities. Raise urgent blockers during the day, not only in the final report.Track actions to closure with the CM, engineers and document controller. Support snagging, protection, as-built survey access, final inspections and orderly site demobilization.Maintain site discipline and respectful labour relations. Inform the CM of shift, leave or relief requirements in advance and provide a clear handover whenever supervision changes.Required QualificationsMinimum 10 years of hands-on building construction experience with contractors, including at least 3 years as a General Foreman or Senior Foreman coordinating multiple trades and subcontractors.UAE building construction experience is required, with practical familiarity with consultant inspections, approved work procedures and site safety controls.Experience in reinforced-concrete commercial or residential buildings, including basement/substructure, typical floor cycles and finishing works.Diploma in Civil Engineering, a relevant technical or trade qualification, or equivalent proven site experience. A university degree is not essential.Proven ability to manage both direct labour and subcontractor supervisors, rather than experience limited to one trade or small maintenance works.Ability to read approved construction drawings and communicate clearly in spoken and written English for daily coordination and reporting.Required SkillsStrong workforce leadership: delegate clearly, set measurable targets, follow up completion and hold teams accountable fairly.Confident, respectful communication with contractors, trade foremen and labour teams; confirm instructions and resolve disagreements without disrupting safe progress.Ability to explain work to a multilingual workforce and check understanding. Hindi, Urdu or Arabic communication is an advantage.Practical daily and weekly planning, construction sequencing, work front coordination and resource forecasting.Ability to read civil, structural and architectural drawings, understand relevant MEP interfaces and carry out basic quantity and dimensional checks.Good understanding of inspection readiness, hold points, approved method statements and quality requirements; recognize when an engineer’s decision is needed.Accurate reporting using basic Excel, digital forms, email and progress photographs. Construction-software or mobile site-reporting experience is an advantage.Practical problem solving and early escalation: report the facts, impact, proposed action and decision required; record important instructions and avoid unauthorized commitments.Preferred ExperiencePrevious experience on a Dubai B+G+5 or similar building, from mobilization or substructure through completion and handover.Experience coordinating labour-only subcontractors where the main contractor supplies materials, and working with shared engineering and procurement support.Experience coordinating basement specialists, waterproofing, post-tension slab interfaces, MEP builders’ work, finishing sequences and snagging.Personal QualitiesHands-on, practical and visible on site.Takes responsibility for daily tasks and follows through.Organized, punctual and disciplined.Firm, fair and respectful with subcontractors and labour.Calm under pressure and proactive about constraints.Honest and accurate in reporting progress and problems.Committed to safety, quality, productivity and teamwork.
