You will be responsible for the strategic direction, operational excellence, and financial performance of the property, ensuring it remains the undisputed destination of choice for diplomats, corporate executives, and international dignitaries.The ideal candidate is a commercially astute hotelier with a proven track record in Sub-Saharan Africa or similar emerging markets, possessing the agility to navigate complex logistical environments without compromising on world-class guest experiences.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership & Operations: Direct all aspects of hotel operations, including Rooms, Food & Beverage, Finance, Sales & Marketing, and Facilities, ensuring alignment with 5-star global hospitality standards.Financial Performance: Take full ownership of the property’s P&L. Drive top-line revenue through innovative commercial strategies while maintaining strict cost-control measures and labor cost guidelines to maximize GOP.Guest Experience Excellence: Champion a culture of uncompromising quality. Implement and monitor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent, personalized, and high-end service delivery.Talent & Organizational Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse, multicultural workforce. Oversee comprehensive workforce planning, competency mapping, and training programs to build capacity among the local and expatriate teams.Stakeholder & Relationship Management: Act as the primary ambassador for the property. Cultivate strong relationships with government officials, corporate clients, embassies, and community leaders.Risk & Crisis Management: Maintain rigorous oversight of property security, health, and safety protocols, ensuring robust contingency plans are in place to adapt to the local operating environment.Qualifications & ExperienceExperience: Minimum of 5–7 years of experience as a General Manager in a luxury 5-star hotel environment.Regional Expertise: Prior experience managing hotel operations in Sub-Saharan Africa, frontier, or emerging markets is highly preferred.Commercial Acumen: Demonstrated success in financial planning, annual budgeting, yield management, and achieving revenue targets in challenging economic landscapes.Leadership Style: A hands-on, visible leader with high emotional intelligence, capable of managing multi-jurisdictional teams and driving a unified organizational culture.Education: Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or a related field.What We OfferCompetitive Base Salary: USD 10,000 per month.Expatriate Benefits: High-quality executive accommodation, premium global medical insurance, and duty meals.Travel & Leave: Annual flight allowances and a structured R&R (Rest & Recuperation) leave cycle standard for the region.Career Growth: The opportunity to make a high-visibility impact within a growing multinational portfolio.
