As well as holding events for the local community and offering catering options too.Role DescriptionThe General Manager role at BloomsYard is a full-time, on-site position based in London, responsible for overseeing daily operations and ensuring excellent guest experiences.This role includes leading and motivating the team, managing schedules, and maintaining high standards for service, food, and beverage quality.The General Manager will oversee inventory, ordering, and supplier relationships to ensure consistent availability of key products. They will manage budgets, monitor sales performance, and implement initiatives to grow revenue and optimize costs.Day-to-day responsibilities also include handling customer feedback, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, supporting staff development, and promoting BloomsYard’s brand values in every aspect of the venue’s operation.QualificationsProven experience in hospitality or restaurant management, preferably in café, bar/pub, or all-day dining environments.Strong leadership skills, including team motivation, performance management, and staff development.Experience with operational oversight such as scheduling, inventory control, and supplier management.Sound understanding of budgeting, sales targets, and basic financial reporting.Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle feedback and create a welcoming atmosphere.Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and health and safety regulations.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively on-site.Comfortable using point-of-sale systems and basic office software for reporting and administration.Passion for coffee, teas, wines, and quality food, with an interest in artisan and wellbeing-focused products.Flexible approach to working hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.Previous experience in a London or urban hospitality setting is an advantage.Relevant training or qualifications in hospitality management or a related field are beneficial.
