The asset encompasses multi-discipline yard operations for transient and long-term superyacht berthing for vessels from 40' to 200'+, high-capacity fuel, and extensive waterfront real estate.The General Manager will hold complete operational, commercial, and financial accountability for the marina.You will be primarily responsible for 4 key areas:The operating discipline of the team across dissimilar departments (yard production, guest services, contractor compliance, and facilities)Financial performanceThe durability and growth of relationships with captains, and owners' representativesThe health and productivity of the contractor and tenant ecosystem that drives ancillary revenue and service breadthMarine industry experience — particularly in boatyard, shipyard, or full-service marine operations — is strongly preferred for this role given the operational complexity of the organization.What you’ll be doing:Financial Ownership and P&L LeadershipFull P&L ResponsibilitiesBudgeting and reforecastingMonthly Financials Review Drive revenue managementGrow ancillary and new revenueControl cost structureSupport asset value creationOperating Efficiency and Process ImprovementWork with operations leadership to establish and enforce standard operating procedures across departments. Guide the team through acquisitions, integrations, renovations, systems conversions, and seasonal surge.Asset, Facilities and Capital Project ManagementProtect and enhance the physical assetsRun a preventive maintenance programSupport capital projectsSupport permitting and entitlementsOwn storm and business continuity planningManage inventory and procurementSafety, Compliance and Risk ManagementEstablish a visible safety culture in which every teammate is expected to work safely and to stop unsafe work.Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local requirements, including OSHA, EPA, USCG, ISPS, Clean Marina, SPCC and fuel handling, ADA, and Department of Labor regulations.Follow all Safety and Environmental rules, complete all required training, wear proper personal protective equipment, and report all accidents, injuries, spills, and near misses immediately.What you need to bring:10+ years of progressive leadership experience, including 5+ years with direct P&L ownership of a multi-department operation, property, or business of meaningful scale. Experience managing through directors or department managers — not just individual contributors — is required.Demonstrated experience leading a management team of leaders and a total organization of 50+ people.Track record of delivering financial results against plan and of implementing operating improvements with quantifiable outcomes.Experience serving a high-net-worth, member, or premium clientele, and operating in environments where service failures are highly visible.Experience managing capital projects, physical assets, or facilities of significant value and complexity. Experience managing a contractor, vendor, or tenant ecosystem with compliance, insurance, and relationship management requirements. Boatyard, shipyard, or marine services experience — particularly in haul-out operations, service production management, or superyacht refit coordination — is a strong differentiator for this role.Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Finance, Real Estate, Engineering, or a related field required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.Valid driver's license required.Strong financial acumenAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including modeling and analysisWorking knowledge of marina, property, or hospitality management platforms, work order and CMMS systems, point-of-sale, and business intelligence or reporting tools.Familiarity with accounts payable and receivable, payroll and salary administration, procurement, contract administration, and lease or slip agreement structures.Insightful Talent LLC is an equal opportunity employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
