Role Description The General Manager role at Home Wear is a part-time remote position responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and supporting strategic business goals. This role includes coordinating cross-functional activities such as planning, scheduling, and monitoring performance to ensure smooth workflows. The General Manager will manage budgets, track key metrics, and assist in optimizing processes that support sales, customer service, and product delivery. The role also involves collaborating with team members, providing guidance, and aligning projects with the company’s standards and brand vision. The General Manager will regularly review operational results, identify opportunities for improvement, and support the implementation of new initiatives.QualificationsDemonstrated experience in general management, operations oversight, or business administration in a retail or consumer products environment.Strong organizational, planning, and time-management abilities suited to a part-time remote role.Proficiency in using digital tools for communication, project tracking, and reporting (e.g., email, video conferencing, spreadsheets, and collaboration platforms).Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed operational decisions.Clear, professional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse, distributed teams.Experience managing budgets, basic financial reporting, and performance metrics is highly beneficial.Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain accountability in a remote work setting.Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience.Previous experience in home goods, lifestyle brands, or e-commerce operations is a plus.
