Real Joy.We’re looking for energetic, reliable team members who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, delivering great food, and creating a welcoming experience for every guest.Role Description The General Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the New York City Metropolitan Area, responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations. This includes managing front-of-house and back-of-house teams, supervising service quality, and ensuring a positive guest experience from arrival to departure. The General Manager will handle staffing needs, scheduling, and training, as well as monitor inventory, purchasing, and vendor relationships. The role involves maintaining health, safety, and cleanliness standards, managing budgets and financial performance, and implementing initiatives to drive revenue and customer loyalty. The General Manager will collaborate closely with ownership and kitchen leadership to support menu execution, promotions, and overall brand standards.QualificationsProven experience in restaurant or hospitality management, preferably as a General Manager or similar leadership role.Strong skills in team leadership, staff development, and performance management.Ability to manage budgets, control costs, and interpret basic financial reports (sales, labor, inventory).Excellent customer service, communication, and conflict-resolution abilities.Knowledge of food safety, hygiene regulations, and compliance with local health codes.Experience coordinating front-of-house and back-of-house operations for consistent service quality.Comfort with using point-of-sale systems and basic computer applications for scheduling and reporting.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required in restaurant operations.Familiarity with Indian cuisine or strong interest in learning about the restaurant’s culinary offering is a plus.Prior experience in the New York City Metropolitan Area hospitality market is beneficial.High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in hospitality or business management is a plus.
