The Middle East is already an important region for the business, with an established team, customer base and distributor network, but there is considerable potential to increase its scale over the coming years. This is much broader than a traditional sales leadership role. You will have responsibility for the overall performance and development of the regional operation, leading teams across sales, inside sales, service and operations while defining and executing the strategy for future growth. The roleBased in Dubai, you will take ownership of the Middle East business and:Develop and execute a clear regional growth strategy.Lead, motivate and develop the existing multidisciplinary team.Drive revenue growth across the UAE and wider Gulf region.Review and develop the distributor and channel partner network.Build relationships with major end users, consultants and industry stakeholders.Increase penetration of the company's expanding fixed, portable and connected detection portfolio.Identify new market, customer and product opportunities.Take ownership of regional service, support and customer experience.Work closely with the international senior leadership team on forecasts, commercial plans and future investment.Build a scalable regional organisation capable of supporting ambitious long-term growth. You will inherit an established regional team of approximately 7–8 people, so this role requires someone who is equally comfortable setting strategy and getting involved in the detail.About youWe are particularly interested in speaking with commercially driven leaders who can demonstrate:Significant commercial, sales leadership or general management experience in the Middle East.Strong knowledge of doing business across the UAE and wider Gulf region.Experience selling technically complex products or systems into oil & gas, industrial, safety, instrumentation or related markets.A track record of developing and successfully executing growth strategies.Evidence of delivering meaningful revenue growth.Experience leading and developing multidisciplinary teams.Strong distributor/channel management experience, including evaluating and developing partner networks. The ability to build senior-level relationships with customers, distributors and other stakeholders.Strong commercial and numerical capability.A practical, hands-on leadership style and the ability to move comfortably between strategy and execution.Direct gas detection experience would be advantageous, but it is not essential. Relevant backgrounds could include gas or fire detection, industrial safety, process or industrial instrumentation, monitoring systems, or other technically led products sold into major oil & gas and industrial customers. This opportunity should appeal to someone who wants genuine ownership rather than simply inheriting a mature operation to maintain. There is an established platform in place, alongside significant scope to shape the regional strategy, develop the team and channel network, influence future investment and materially increase the scale of the business.Interested? Please apply via LinkedIn or contact me directly for a confidential discussion.
