Our interactive art gallery, combined with our food, beverage and retail offerings make for a holistically unique guest experience.Role Description The General Manager is the on-site, front of house leader of Hopscotch and manages the day-to-day operations of the staff and all operating procedures; they will report to the Director of Operations. The General Manager is responsible for consistently delivering results that contribute to the success of day-to-day operations (hiring, scheduling, staff tasks & overall venue management) and our Hopscotch Corporate vision. The General Manager is responsible for driving forward and auditing all staff and operations related areas of the business and sets the tone for the team, including leadership. The General Manager must have regular weekend availability and be excited to work in a creative and collaborative environment.Job Responsibilities Work alongside the Hospitality Manager and Facilities Coordinator to maintain rigorous corporate standards in aesthetics, personnel management and all other aspects of the business to create a five star staff and guest experience from start to finish.Manage and direct all staff at your location including departmental leaders and hourly staff members alike to empower as well as hold the team accountable to maintain and increase the efficiency of the business.Oversee daily operations across all departments to ensure a safe, comfortable and memorable experience for all staff and guests by understanding and implementing policies, procedures, standards, specifications and guidelines and adjust as necessary with company evolution.Responsible for executing all SOPs as they relate to hiring, onboarding, off boarding, training, scheduling for floor & events, disciplinary actions and other needs relating to staff.Work with People and Culture to ensure all employment documents are up to state and federal standards.Streamline all written materials and maintain Hopscotch's culture via learning materials and ongoing staff development.With oversight from the Director of Operations, you will ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, federal, state and local regulations, optimal levels of service, quality and guest services.Oversee weekly inventory submissions of all supplies pertaining to the office, bar and kitchen.Responsible for weekly ordering of supplies pertaining to the office, bar and kitchen based on inventory needs.Responsible for assessing and analyzing departmental budgets to find ways to optimize profitability through labor and ordering costs.Execute on monthly sales and cost reporting set in partnership with ownership.Control payments and other receipts by adhering to payment handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with accounting policies and procedures.Continually work with corporate to identify potential problems as well as develop strategies and implementation plans to improve and standardize all aspects of operations and the guest experience.Oversee payroll and ensure accuracy for all team members. Follow company policies on employee performance reviews and ensure that they are completed on a timely basis.Be open to travel opportunities to support operational needs at other Hopscotch locations for special projects, events or openingsWho You Are Thrive in a high-trafficked, fast-paced environment.Prior Manager / Operations Manager / Director role2+ years of experience in a manager role, preferably large team or departmental leadershipFlexible and open scheduling availability with the ability to work evenings, holidays and weekends as required.Excellent IT Skills (Google Workspace) and Project Management Skills (ordering & inventory)Language: English (Required)Spanish (Preferred but not Mandatory)
