As part of the Group’s continued expansion, we are strengthening our in-house construction capabilities to support the delivery of major developments across our growing project portfolio.We are seeking an accomplished General Manager – Civil Construction to provide overall leadership for our civil construction operations and the delivery of multiple large-scale projects.This is a senior executive leadership role with responsibility for business performance, P&L, project delivery, construction operations, commercial performance, manpower, cost, quality, HSE, and overall operational excellence.The successful individual must come from a strong main contracting / civil construction background with extensive UAE/GCC experience managing multiple high-value projects, large site workforces, and senior project leadership teams.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide overall leadership and strategic direction for civil construction operations across multiple projects.Take ownership of P&L, budgets, profitability, cash flow, cost control, and overall business performance.Lead multiple large-scale construction projects from mobilization through execution, completion, and handover.Ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets, schedules, quality standards, and contractual requirements.Lead and manage Project Directors, Project Managers, Construction Managers, and other senior project leadership teams.Oversee construction, engineering, planning, commercial, procurement, QA/QC, HSE, and project control functions.Monitor project progress, productivity, manpower utilization, cost performance, cash flow, and profitability.Develop construction strategies, execution plans, manpower plans, and resource requirements across the project portfolio.Manage large site workforces and ensure effective deployment of manpower, equipment, and resources.Review project schedules, critical paths, delays, and productivity and implement recovery or acceleration plans where required.Drive effective subcontractor management, including performance, productivity, commercial compliance, and delivery.Oversee major contractual and commercial matters, including variations, claims, extensions of time, subcontractor issues, and cost exposure.Work closely with Procurement and Supply Chain teams to ensure timely availability of materials, subcontractors, and construction resources.Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and relevant authorities.Identify major project and business risks and ensure appropriate mitigation and corrective actions are implemented.Establish and monitor project and operational KPIs covering schedule, cost, productivity, quality, safety, and commercial performance.Ensure strict compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, statutory requirements, QA/QC standards, and HSE requirements.Drive productivity improvement, cost optimization, standardization, and continuous improvement across construction operations.Develop and mentor senior project leadership teams and establish clear accountability across the organization.Provide regular project and business performance updates to executive management.Support the Group’s future growth through effective capacity planning, organizational development, and construction delivery strategy.Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.Master’s degree, MBA, PMP, Construction Management, or other relevant professional qualifications will be an advantage.Minimum 20–25 years of progressive experience in Civil Construction / Main Contracting.Significant experience in a General Manager, Managing Director, Executive Director, Operations Director, Project Director, or equivalent senior leadership position.Strong UAE/GCC construction experience, preferably with leading main contractors.Proven experience managing multiple large-scale construction projects simultaneously.Strong project experience across high-rise towers, large residential developments, communities, commercial buildings, or mixed-use developments.Demonstrated experience managing large project portfolios, significant annual construction turnover, and large site workforces.Proven P&L ownership with responsibility for budgets, profitability, cash flow, cost control, and financial performance.Strong experience managing Project Directors, Project Managers, Construction Managers, and multidisciplinary project teams.Comprehensive understanding of construction methodology, project planning, engineering, procurement, project controls, and site execution.Strong commercial and contractual knowledge covering claims, variations, EOT, subcontractors, procurement, and contract administration.Proven ability to recover delayed or underperforming projects and deliver in fast-track construction environments.Strong knowledge of UAE construction practices, authority requirements,
