General Manager

A private equity-backed, growing waste and recycling company in GA is seeking a General Manager to oversee the overall performance of its hauling and Material Recovery Facility (MRF) operations. The General Manager will have full P&L responsibility and lead all aspects of the business, including operations, fleet and maintenance, sales and marketing, safety, environmental compliance, customer service, procurement, and people leadership. Key priorities include driving profitable growth, improving route and operational efficiency, developing department leaders, maintaining strong safety and service performance, and supporting expansion through organic growth and acquisitions. The ideal candidate will have 5–10 years of progressive leadership experience in solid waste, environmental services, transportation, logistics, MRF operations, or a closely related field, ideally with experience leading a site, district, or major operation for a regional or national hauler. Compensation includes a $110,000–$125,000 base salary, 30% target bonus, $750 monthly auto allowance, health and welfare benefits, 401(k), and potential stock options.
