General Manager | Satellite Communications & Connectivity Technology | Greater London Area, UKAbout the RoleAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced General Manager to support the next stage of growth for an established satellite communications and connectivity technology business.Working closely with the founders, you will take responsibility for day-to-day operations, financial performance, business planning and the development of scalable processes. Initially, the role will also involve leading commercial activities, progressing opportunities and building customer relationships, before transitioning primary commercial ownership to an incoming Sales & Marketing Director.The successful candidate will initially assess existing team capabilities and recommend improvements, before progressively taking on direct people-management responsibilities as the role develops.The CompanyAn established UK technology business specialising in advanced communications and connectivity solutions. Operating across satellite, telecommunications and mission-critical environments, the company develops innovative technologies that enable reliable and resilient communications across complex networks.With an established industry presence and growing commercial opportunities, the business is entering an exciting stage of development, focused on expanding its market reach, strengthening operational capabilities and supporting sustainable long-term growth.The OpportunityTake a senior leadership position within an established, founder-led technology business.Shape operational delivery, financial management and the processes required to support sustainable growth.Initially lead commercial activities before supporting a structured handover to an incoming Sales & Marketing Director.Help develop teams and management structures, with increasing responsibility as the business scales.Work closely with the founders, who will retain responsibility for product direction and key strategic relationships.Contribute to a collaborative working environment that values ownership, practical ways of working and a genuine work/life balance.To Be Successful, You'll Need:P&L & Operational Leadership: Demonstrable experience managing financial performance, operational delivery and business planning within an SME or growing technology business.Relevant Industry Background: Experience across satellite communications, telecommunications infrastructure, defence, security technology or related connectivity markets.Commercial Capability: Ability to build senior customer relationships and progress complex, consultative sales opportunities.Business & People Development: Experience establishing processes and teams, assessing capabilities and making informed recommendations for improvement.Technical Understanding: Ability to engage credibly with technical specialists and customers without needing to be the most senior technical expert.Independent Leadership: Comfortable operating within a founder-led business, developing structures and processes without extensive corporate support.Interested in Learning More?Interested?
