General Manager

Role Description The General Manager role at CFC is a part-time, hybrid position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with a mix of on-site work and work-from-home flexibility. The General Manager oversees the overall strategic direction and operational performance of CFC’s integrated maize and poultry value chain, ensuring alignment with Somdia Group’s objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising production, supply chain, and commercial activities; monitoring key performance indicators; and coordinating with local management teams in Cameroon. The role involves developing and refining business plans, managing budgets and financial performance, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies. The General Manager also maintains relationships with group leadership, external partners, and key stakeholders, while promoting a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across all units.QualificationsStrong experience in general management and operations leadership within agribusiness, food production, or related industrial sectors.Proven ability in strategic planning, business development, and performance management, including budgeting and financial oversight.Knowledge of supply chain, production processes, and quality standards in maize processing, animal feed, and poultry operations is highly beneficial.Demonstrated skills in stakeholder management, cross-cultural communication, and partnership building across multiple locations.Ability to lead and mentor diverse teams, drive organizational change, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in agribusiness and international trade contexts.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Agribusiness, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will be considered.Fluency in English; working proficiency in French is an advantage given the company’s operating environment.Comfort working in a hybrid model, coordinating remotely with teams in Cameroon while being based in Dubai.
