General Manager | Contracting and Development

Abu Alanga Contracting and Development is seeking an accomplished and strategic General Manager – Construction & Development to lead our construction, engineering, and development operations, with a particular focus on large-scale and high-rise building projects.This is a senior leadership position for a proven construction executive with a strong track record in delivering complex developments, managing multidisciplinary organizations, driving commercial performance, and supporting business growth.Key Responsibilities:Lead and oversee all construction, engineering, and development operations, with a strong focus on high-rise building projects.Provide strategic leadership for the successful delivery of large-scale, complex, and high-rise developments.Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, to the highest quality and safety standards.Direct project management, engineering, procurement, commercial, QA/QC, HSE, and site operations.Oversee construction planning, project execution, resources, budgets, contracts, procurement, and risk management.Manage relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, government authorities, and other key stakeholders.Drive business development and strategic growth, identifying new construction and development opportunities.Monitor project performance, cost control, cash flow, profitability, progress, and KPIs.Ensure compliance with HSE, QA/QC, building regulations, statutory requirements, and contractual obligations.Lead senior management teams and develop a culture of accountability, performance, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.Identify and resolve critical project, commercial, technical, and operational challenges.Report directly to company leadership on business performance, project status, financial results, risks, and strategic initiatives.REQUIREMENTSBachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.20+ years of progressive experience in construction, contracting, and development.Proven senior management experience in high-rise building projects is essential.Strong track record in delivering large-scale high-rise residential, commercial, mixed-use, or hospitality developments.Previous experience as General Manager, Construction Director, Operations Director, Project Director, or equivalent senior leadership role.Extensive knowledge of high-rise construction methods, project delivery, planning, contracts, procurement, commercial management, and risk management.Proven ability to manage multiple projects and large multidisciplinary teams.Strong understanding of structural, architectural, MEP, façade, vertical transportation, and specialist systems associated with high-rise developments.Strong commercial acumen with experience in budgets, cost control, P&L, cash flow, and project profitability.Excellent relationships with clients, consultants, government authorities, and key industry stakeholders.Strong knowledge of HSE, QA/QC, regulatory compliance, construction standards, and authority requirements.Exceptional leadership, negotiation, strategic planning, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.Strong business development capability with a proven record of securing and growing construction/development opportunities.UAE/GCC high-rise construction experience is highly preferred.We are looking for a visionary and commercially driven construction leader who can combine operational excellence with strategic thinking.The successful candidate will have the credibility and experience to lead major high-rise developments, build strong stakeholder relationships, drive organizational performance, and contribute directly to the long-term growth and success of the company.Location: UAEIndustry: Construction & DevelopmentExperience: 20+ YearsFocus: High-Rise | Residential | Commercial | Mixed-Use | Hospitality📩 Interested candidates are invited to apply or submit their CV via Career@abualnaga.com#Hiring #GeneralManager #ConstructionJobs #ConstructionManagement #ConstructionDirector #ProjectDirector #HighRiseConstruction #RealEstateDevelopment #PropertyDevelopment #UAEJobs #DubaiJobs #GCCJobs #ConstructionLeadership #SeniorManagement #EngineeringJobs #UAEConstruction #Leadership
