About the CompanyChandigarh University is seeking an experienced General Manager (GM) – ERP to lead the strategic planning, implementation, enhancement, and governance of the University's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) ecosystem. The role will drive digital transformation by ensuring seamless integration of academic and administrative functions, optimizing business processes, and delivering technology-driven solutions that enhance operational efficiency across the institution.About the RoleThe General Manager (GM) – ERP will be responsible for leading the end-to-end management, administration, and optimization of the University’s ERP ecosystem.ResponsibilitiesERP Strategy & Governance Lead the end-to-end management, administration, and optimization of the University's ERP ecosystem.Develop and implement ERP strategies aligned with institutional goals and digital transformation initiatives.Ensure high system availability, scalability, security, and performance across all ERP modules.Oversee ERP upgrades, enhancements, testing, deployments, and continuous improvements.Business Process Automation Analyze existing workflows and identify opportunities for process automation and optimization.Drive digital transformation initiatives by streamlining academic and administrative operations.Standardize business processes through effective ERP utilization.Stakeholder & Requirement Management Collaborate with academic, administrative, finance, HR, admissions, examination, and other departments to gather business requirements.Translate operational needs into scalable ERP solutions.Conduct regular stakeholder meetings to ensure continuous process improvements.ERP Project Management Lead ERP implementation, migration, enhancement, and integration projects.Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.Ensure successful project delivery within defined timelines and budgets.Data Management & Analytics Ensure data integrity, security, and accuracy across ERP modules.Develop MIS reports, dashboards, and analytical insights for management decision-making.Support institutional reporting and business intelligence initiatives.Vendor & Technology Management Manage relationships with ERP vendors and implementation partners.Monitor vendor performance, SLAs, AMC contracts, and project deliverables.Evaluate emerging ERP technologies and third-party integrations.Compliance & Information Security Ensure ERP systems comply with University policies, statutory regulations, and data security standards.Implement role-based access controls, audit mechanisms, and governance frameworks.Conduct periodic system audits and user access reviews.Leadership & Team Management Lead, mentor, and develop ERP functional and technical teams.Allocate responsibilities, monitor performance, and drive continuous capability development.Conduct user training, change management, and adoption initiatives.ERP Modules Admissions ManagementStudent Information System (SIS)AcademicsExamination ManagementHRMS & PayrollFinance & AccountsHostel ManagementLibrary ManagementLearning Management System (LMS)CRMTransport ManagementAttendance ManagementAlumni ManagementQualificationsB.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.MBA, MCA, or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.Certifications such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, PMP, ITIL, or similar will be an added advantage.Required SkillsERP Implementation & AdministrationERP Project ManagementBusiness Process Re-engineeringDigital TransformationRequirement Gathering & Functional AnalysisERP IntegrationSQL & Database ConceptsDashboard & MIS ReportingVendor & Stakeholder ManagementRisk & Compliance ManagementChange ManagementTeam LeadershipPreferred SkillsStrong expertise in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation and administration.Experience in digital transformation and business process automation.Strong understanding of ERP integration, database concepts, and reporting tools.Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination skills.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities.Experience in vendor management and ERP governance.Ability to lead large teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Pay range and compensation package12–18 years of experience in ERP implementation, enterprise applications, or digital transformation. Minimum 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
