With a competitive coverage of Trading Houses, Producers, Majors, Utilities, Merchants, Hedge Funds, Investment Banks and Brokerages; Redstone Commodity Search can confidently offer you an edge in today's volatile market.Redstone Commodity Search are working with a sizeable international agricultural trading company who are looking for a diligent, hands-on professional with strong experience as a General Manager to take control of and to ensure reliability and profitability of one of their operations in Senegal.Key Responsibilities / TasksTake control of the entire operation governing business operations, overall strategy, and taking full responsibility for P&LEnsure timely and efficient execution from production to delivery maintaining disciplined standards for production, product quality, and customer serviceEnsure greater attention to governing principles in procurement, logistics, and complianceMaintain clear communication with the rest of the group and implement group ethos on social responsibility and continuous improvement with staff in the operationRole reports to the VP of AfricaKey Qualifications / ExperienceProven leadership and P&L responsibility in an industrial environmentStrong foundations in an industrial or operational setting (particularly manufacturing or milling – ideally grains)Proven ability to lead successful teams through the challenges (geopolitical, regulatory, etc.) associated with EM/FMTrack record of team development, process improvement, ability to deliver commercially, and ability to communicate clearly (fluency in both written and spoken French and English is a requirement)Role is to be located in Dakar with regular travel to operational sites
