قدّم وتابع مع أبلاي إيدجAbout the roleWe are looking for a commercially driven company builder to join us as General Manager – Growth & Operations and help lead the company through its next stage of growth.This role is designed for someone who has worked in startups, SMEs, founder-led companies, or entrepreneurial business units and has personally created opportunities, won business, built teams, launched projects, and taken responsibility beyond a single department.We are particularly interested in candidates whose career started or developed through sales, business development, partnerships, commercial leadership, or business management and later expanded into broader company leadership.The successful candidate will work closely with the founders and Board to identify where the company should grow, create and pursue new opportunities, strengthen the organisation internally, and ensure that what is sold can actually be delivered.This is not a traditional corporate management position. We are looking for someone who can build, sell, negotiate, execute, and lead.Candidates whose experience is limited primarily to large, highly structured organisations are unlikely to be suited to the level of ownership and direct execution required.What you will be responsible forGrowth and business developmentIdentify new revenue opportunities, markets, services, partnerships, and customer segments.Personally originate and develop opportunities rather than relying only on inbound leads.Build relationships with government entities, corporations, universities, developers, tourism destinations, events, and strategic partners.Create and pitch new commercial concepts and solutions.Lead proposals, tenders, pricing, negotiations, and commercial discussions.Work directly with the founders on major opportunities and independently develop others.Convert opportunities into signed contracts, projects, partnerships, and recurring revenue.Expand revenue from existing services, fleets, assets, customers, and relationships.Build the company’s business development and commercial capabilities over time.Company buildingAssess the company’s current structure, people, processes, and management capabilities.Build stronger departments and develop managers who can operate independently.Identify missing roles, weak ownership, and organisational bottlenecks.Recruit, develop, restructure, or replace people where necessary.Establish clear responsibilities, decision-making authority, KPIs, and accountability.Reduce the company’s dependence on founders for daily execution.Introduce professional management discipline without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.Build an organisation capable of supporting significantly larger revenue and operations.Strategy and expansionWork with the founders and Board to define the company’s growth strategy.Identify opportunities in government and corporate mobility projects, shared mobility, fleet management, technology services, vehicle rental, and related mobility businesses.Evaluate opportunities based on market potential, profitability, execution requirements, and strategic value.Develop business cases and launch plans for approved opportunities.Lead entry into new projects, locations, services, and customer segments.Continuously look for opportunities that the company is currently missing.Operations and executionTake ownership of company-wide execution and ensure decisions become results.Oversee daily operational performance, including fleet operations, maintenance, customer support, procurement, projects, and other supporting functions.Improve efficiency, service quality, fleet utilisation, maintenance performance, and cost control.Build management systems that identify problems early and ensure they are resolved.Translate Board and management decisions into owners, deadlines, KPIs, and follow-up.Step directly into important problems when necessary and remain accountable until they are resolved.People and leadershipLead approximately 20–40 employees directly and indirectly.Build and develop capable managers and supervisors.Set clear expectations and hold people accountable for measurable outcomes.Address poor performance and difficult people decisions directly.Build a culture of ownership, speed, commercial thinking, discipline, and execution.Work effectively with strong founders and stakeholders while maintaining independent judgment.Be willing to challenge assumptions and communicate uncomfortable truths when necessary.Commercial and financial ownershipUnderstand the economics behind opportunities, projects, and operational decisions.Monitor revenue, costs, margins, budgets, collections, and project profitability.Negotiate with customers, suppliers, contractors, and strategic partners.Challenge inefficient spending and improve margins.Ensure that growth creates economic value rather than simply increasing activity.Who we are looking forThe ideal candidate is a high-agency company builder with strong commercial instincts.We are particularly interested in people who have progressed from sales, business development, partnerships, commercial management, or business management into broader leadership roles such as General Manager, Business Unit Head, Country Manager, Managing Director, COO, CEO, or similar positions.We want someone who can point to things they personally created:A customer they approached.A contract they originated and closed.A new service they conceived and sold.A business unit they launched.A team they built.A department they fixed.A market they entered.A meaningful increase in revenue they personally helped create.Required profileMinimum five years of relevant professional experience.Meaningful experience in startups, SMEs, founder-led companies, or entrepreneurial environments.Experience generating revenue through sales, business development, partnerships, or commercial initiatives.Experience managing people and responsibilities across multiple business functions.Demonstrated experience building or significantly improving teams, departments, services, or businesses.Experience working directly with founders, owners, CEOs, or Boards.Strong commercial judgment and negotiation ability.Comfortable with ambiguity, limited resources, and changing priorities.Strong understanding of the Saudi business environment.Fluent Arabic and professional English.Saudi nationals are preferred.Experience solely within large corporate environments without meaningful SME, startup, or entrepreneurial experience is
