We are looking for a passionate, dynamic, and results-driven General Manager to lead our Must Société store in Ottawa, inspire a talented team, and deliver an exceptional customer experience! Your role as a General Manager at Must Société Ottawa:Your tasks as General Manager are generally to manage the store operations, promoting a customer-centric culture daily to meet and exceed sales and profitability targets. As General Manager, you are to oversee the store’s team, including a Sales Manager, Sales Consultants, In-Store Administrative Assistants, Showroom Technicians and Cleaning Attendants. As General Manager, you optimize store operations and contribute to the development and implementation of sales and marketing strategies. As General Manager, you are also mandated to maintain and develop the relationship with the designer community by organizing and participating in various events to increase Must Société’s brand visibility in the Ottawa market. You are a key collaborator with all other departments of Must Société. Your responsibilities as General Manager of our Must Société Ottawa store: Staff ManagementParticipate in recruitment, onboarding, training, and motivating staff.Evaluate employee performance, set individual goals, and provide development opportunities.Plan work schedules and send weekly reports to payroll (sick leave, vacations, other leaves). Sales ManagementEnforce company policies and procedures (deposits, pricing, labeling, contract compliance, customer returns, dress code, etc.).Ensure the branch meets and exceeds its sales targets by setting individual goals for each employee.Maximize store profitability through effective cost and margin management and increase sales by achieving and improving the conversion rate. Customer Service ManagementResolve complaints promptly, aiming for 100% customer satisfaction and in line with Must Société protocol.Ensure team members follow up on their undelivered sales (SND).Achieve high customer satisfaction scores (e.g., online reviews). Opening and Closing Register Procedures· Ensure system amounts match those on payment terminals.Identify and correct discrepancies when applicable.Verify the accuracy of the cash drawer balances. Visual Merchandising and Inventory ManagementControl merchandise reception and expedition.Send the list of required inventory adjustments to the Purchasing and Imports Coordinators.Ensure the store is always laid out according to established standards (displays, labeling, cleanliness). Designer Community EngagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with the local designer, architect, and decorator community to increase brand awareness and develop new business opportunities.Organize and host in-store events, product presentations, networking evenings, and other activities aimed at engaging the design community.Represent Must Société at relevant industry events, networking activities, design events, and community initiatives.
