General Manager – Interior Fit-Out & Joinery Works

Timbertech LLC is a well-established Interior Fit-Out and Joinery company with its own joinery production facility and an experienced technical team.As part of our strategic growth plans, we are seeking a commercially driven and results-oriented General Manager to lead the business, strengthen its market position, drive profitable growth, and establish Timbertech LLC as one of Dubai’s leading Interior Fit-Out and Joinery contractors.This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced professional with a strong track record in business development, project delivery, financial management, and overall business performance.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute the company's strategic business plan to achieve sustainable growth and profitability.Drive business development, generate new enquiries, and expand the company's client portfolio.Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, consultants, architects, Project Management Consultants (PMCs), hospitality operators, commercial clients, and government entities.Lead tendering, estimating, pricing strategies, commercial evaluations, and contract negotiations.Oversee the complete project lifecycle, from enquiry and tender submission through execution, handover, and final close-out.Manage joinery factory operations, production planning, procurement, logistics, and site execution.Take full ownership of Profit & Loss (P&L), budgets, cash flow, gross margins, profitability, receivables, and financial reporting.Lead, mentor, and develop management teams and key personnel to build a high-performing organisation.Establish effective operational systems, KPIs, and performance reporting to improve productivity and accountability.Strengthen client satisfaction, secure repeat business, and build long-term strategic partnerships.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)The General Manager will be accountable for measurable business results, including:Revenue growth and order book development.Gross profit, EBITDA, and net profit.New client acquisition and business development.Tender conversion and success rates.Cash flow management and collection efficiency.On-time project delivery and quality performance.Client satisfaction and repeat business.Joinery factory utilisation and operational productivity.Employee engagement, development, and retention.Candidate ProfileBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related discipline.MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification will be an advantage.Minimum 15 years of experience in the UAE Interior Fit-Out and Joinery industry.Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership position with responsibility for overall business performance and profitability.Proven track record of growing an Interior Fit-Out and Joinery business, securing new contracts, and improving profitability.Strong understanding of the UAE construction market, commercial practices, tendering, contracts, and project execution.Established network of industry contacts among developers, consultants, architects, hospitality operators, and corporate clients.Essential CompetenciesStrategic business leadership and decision-making.Business development, networking, and market expansion.Strong commercial, financial, and P&L management capabilities.Tender management and contract negotiation.Team building, leadership, and talent development.Client relationship management and business retention.Operational excellence and performance improvement.Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong focus on results and profitability.
