General Manager – Joint Venture Operating Company - Oil & Gas Upstream

Dana Petroleum is seeking a seasoned upstream leader to serve as General Manager of one of our Joint Venture Operating Companies in Egypt. As Dana’s appointed representative, you will lead the JV toward safe, efficient and commercially sound operations, protect Dana’s interests, and promote strong cooperation among partners.Key responsibilitiesProvide overall leadership across production, operations, engineering, maintenance, projects, finance, procurement, administration and HSEDeliver approved work programs, budgets and business plans through clear objectives, KPIs and accountabilitySteer field development, major projects and investment decisions so they are technically sound, commercially justified and properly approvedOversee the JV’s financial and commercial performance, cost control and resource allocationRepresent Dana within the JV governance structure, consulting Dana management on significant decisionsBuild effective relationships with EGPC, JV partners, government authorities and other stakeholdersLead a strong HSE culture and manage significant operational and business risksDevelop the JV management team and support capability building and succession planningRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical or another relevant engineering discipline; a Master’s or MBA is an advantage20+ years of upstream oil and gas experience, including senior management roles, preferably in a JV settingSolid understanding of upstream operations, field development and business managementTrack record of leading multidisciplinary teams, managing budgets and handling stakeholder negotiationsKnowledge of the Egyptian petroleum sector, including EGPC and IOCsStrong commercial judgment, communication and negotiation skills, and high integrity
