General Manager – Land Transportation

Our client, a growing land transportation company based in Najran, Saudi Arabia, is seeking an entrepreneurial and commercially driven General Manager to lead the business through its next stage of growth.The role requires a business builder with a strong track record of growing and scaling transportation or logistics businesses. The successful candidate will have full responsibility for the company's strategic, commercial, operational, and financial performance, with a strong mandate to accelerate business development, market penetration, expansion, and modernization.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute a multi-year growth and expansion strategy to significantly strengthen the company's market position.Drive business development and market penetration through new customers, contracts, sectors, services, and strategic partnerships.Identify and evaluate opportunities for geographic expansion, service diversification, and fleet investment.Take full ownership of the company's P&L, revenue growth, profitability, cash flow, and overall business performance.Lead large-scale transportation and fleet operations, ensuring strong asset utilization, productivity, service reliability, and cost efficiency.Optimize fleet performance, maintenance, fuel consumption, route planning, capacity utilization, and operational KPIs.Lead commercial negotiations, contract pricing, customer management, and strategic account development.Drive the company's digitalization and modernization agenda, leveraging technology, data, automation, and modern transport/fleet management systems.Build scalable organizational structures, processes, systems, and capabilities to support rapid business growth.Build and develop a strong leadership team and establish a performance-driven, accountable organizational culture.Maintain strong relationships with customers, strategic partners, government entities, and other key stakeholders.Ensure appropriate governance, safety, risk management, and regulatory compliance as the organization expands.Candidate ProfileMinimum 12 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.Strong background within land transportation, logistics, fleet management, or a closely related sector.Proven track record of growing, scaling, or significantly expanding a business, with tangible achievements in revenue growth, market penetration, new customer acquisition, or business expansion.Strong business development and commercial orientation combined with solid transportation and fleet operational expertise.Demonstrated P&L ownership and strong understanding of profitability, cost structures, investment decisions, and asset utilization.Experience leading sizeable operational workforces and multidisciplinary teams.Exposure to digital transformation, fleet technology, automation, or transportation management systems is highly desirable.Entrepreneurial, hands-on, and highly results-oriented leadership style.Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, Logistics, or a related discipline; an MBA is preferred.Interested candidates with a demonstrated record of building and scaling transportation businesses are invited to apply or share their profile for confidential consideration.
