This is a strategic leadership role with full responsibility for commercial growth, business expansion, operational development, and profitability across the region. This role requires an accomplished leader with extensive experience within the maritime, shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding sectors and a proven ability to build businesses within the Middle East market.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute the overall business strategy for the Middle East market in alignment with corporate objectives.Assume full P&L responsibility for the region, ensuring sustainable revenue growth, profitability, and operational excellence.Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and secure strategic partnerships and business opportunities across marine services, shipping, freight forwarding, logistics, and related sectors.Drive regional business development initiatives and establish a strong market presence across key GCC countries.Build and maintain strong relationships with ship owners, ship operators, port authorities, freight forwarders, carriers, trading houses, logistics providers, and regulatory stakeholders.Represent the organization at industry forums, commercial negotiations, client meetings, trade exhibitions, and key stakeholder engagements.Develop and implement growth strategies to expand market share and strengthen customer relationships.Recruit, lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing regional team capable of supporting long-term business expansion.Establish operational structures, governance frameworks, and business processes to support scalable growth.Ensure compliance with UAE, DMCC, free zone regulations, and all applicable legal and regulatory requirements.Monitor market trends, competitor activities, regulatory developments, and emerging opportunities across the GCC region.Prepare and present periodic business performance reports, forecasts, budgets, and strategic plans.Candidate ProfileBachelor's Degree in Business, Maritime Studies, Logistics, or a related discipline.A relevant postgraduate qualification will be considered an advantage.Minimum 10 years of experience within marine services, shipping, ship agency, ship management, offshore support services, port operations, or related industries.Additional exposure to freight forwarding, logistics, international trade, or liner shipping will be highly advantageous.Demonstrated success in establishing, growing, and managing businesses within the Middle East and GCC markets.Previous experience in a senior leadership role such as General Manager, Country Head, Regional Head, Business Unit Head, or equivalent.Proven track record of delivering revenue growth and profitability with direct P&L responsibility.Strong network across ship owners, maritime operators, port authorities, logistics providers, freight forwarding companies, and trading organizations.Excellent understanding of UAE and GCC regulatory frameworks, including free zone business operations.Strong commercial acumen with expertise in business development, negotiations, contract management, and partnership development.Ready to take your career to new heights?We're InTalent Asia, your go-to recruitment partner in Sri Lanka, and we've got an exciting opportunity for you!Our client is looking for a skilled individual to fill the role of General Manager.Apply now and see how you can be the perfect fit for this exclusive position!#InTalentAsia #CareerOpportunity #JobVacancy #GeneralManager #MiddleEastJobs #ShippingIndustry #MarineServices #FreightForwarding #LogisticsLeadership #BusinessDevelopment #ExecutiveLeadership #PAndLManagement #ElevateYourCareer
