General Manager, Mining Operations (Underground)

We’re seeking a bilingual (English-Spanish) General Manager to lead an underground precious metals operation in Mexico. This role will oversee the mine, processing plant, maintenance, technical services, and site support functions.In this high-visibility role, you’ll set the operational direction, strengthen safety and compliance, develop constructive union and community relationships, and deliver sustainable performance.This position can be structured as either a fly-in/fly-out (FIFO) or residential role.Duties and ResponsibilitiesShort- and long-term plans aligned with production, corporate, and sustainability goals.Safety, critical risk management, and government and environmental compliance.Constructive union and community relationships.Site profitability, budgets, costs, and purchasing in partnership with the Unit Controller.Exploration initiatives with Technical Services to support mineral reserve growth.QualificationsA bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent and a P.Eng./PE designation (or Cédula Profesional).15+ years of progressive leadership in precious metals mining, including large, complex underground operations.Fluency in both English and Spanish.Underground technical expertise, financial acumen, unionized labour experience, risk management skills, and a collaborative leadership style.
