General Manager - On Site, Dubai

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE1) Business OperationsOversee daily office and field operations.Coordinate technicians, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, materials, and schedules.Manage the workflow from enquiry and site visit through quotation, execution, invoicing, and collection.Ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standard.Develop practical SOPs, checklists, reporting systems, and escalation procedures.Identify operational problems and implement improvements.2) Business Development & Client ManagementGenerate new business through project-based services and Annual Maintenance Contracts.Build relationships with property managers, facilities-management companies, hotels, restaurants, commercial kitchens, contractors, developers, and building owners.Handle inbound leads and support outbound outreach through calls, WhatsApp, email, LinkedIn, meetings, and referrals.Conduct or coordinate site visits and understand client requirements.Prepare, negotiate, and follow up on quotations.Retain existing clients and identify renewal, referral, and cross-selling opportunities.3) Commercial ManagementReview job costing, labour requirements, material costs, supplier pricing, and expected margins.Ensure quotations are commercially viable and profitable.Monitor revenue, gross margin, expenses, invoicing, collections, and outstanding payments.Support supplier and subcontractor negotiations.Prepare regular performance reports and forecasts for company management.4) Team & Service DeliverySet clear expectations for office and field teams.Monitor productivity, attendance, job completion, service quality, and customer feedback.Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management.Resolve client escalations and operational issues.Ensure technicians and subcontractors work professionally and safely.5) Reporting & Performance MetricsMaintain accurate CRM, quotation, project, supplier, employee, and payment records.Track lead conversion, quotation turnaround, project profitability, job completion, callbacks, customer satisfaction, and collections.Report regularly on revenue, pipeline, operations, client retention, and market feedback.Use performance data to improve future output.MUST HAVES🎓 Bachelor’s degree required in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, Construction, MEP, or a related field📈 Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in operations, facilities management, MEP, maintenance, contracting, fit-out, construction, or technical services👥 At least 2 years of experience managing teams, field operations, projects, or business units💰 Strong understanding of quotations, costing, pricing, margins, procurement, invoicing, and collections🤝 Proven ability to build client relationships, negotiate contracts, and support business growth🛠️ Strong problem-solving ability and comfort managing multiple responsibilities📊 Experience with CRM systems, spreadsheets, reporting, budgets, and operational KPIs🚗 Valid UAE driving licence and willingness to travel to client and project sites📍 Based in Dubai or willing to relocate immediately🔥 Self-motivated, commercially aware, organised, and able to work independently☕️ Excellent spoken and written English🧾 Ability to provide evidence of previous operational, commercial, or business-development resultsGOOD TO HAVE🎓 Master’s degree or MBA🔧 Technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, kitchen equipment, civil works, painting, tiling, or related services📄 Experience managing Annual Maintenance Contracts🇦🇪 Previous experience operating in a UAE service or contracting business🏢 Existing relationships within facilities management, hospitality, property management, construction, or real estate🗣️ Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, or Malayalam communication ability💻 Experience with field-service, accounting, inventory, or workflow-management softwareWHAT WE OFFER / BENEFITS🧪 Three-month mutual assessment period🎯 Clearly defined operational and commercial targets🚀 Direct collaboration with company management💵 Competitive monthly salary💰 Performance-based incentive structure🚗 Company transport or travel support for client and project meetings🎫 UAE employment visa⛑️ Medical insuranceWORKPLACE TYPEOn-SiteWORKPLACE LOCATION📍 Al Qusais Industrial Area, Dubai
