It handles client management, workflows, contracts, invoicing, and scheduling for independent photographers and small studios across the US, UK, and Australia. The business has 11,000+ paid subscribers, will finish this year at roughly $4M in revenue, is growing about 20% a year, and is highly profitable.About the roleThe General Manager owns Studio Ninja end to end and reports to Captura's Chief Product Officer. Full P&L. You'll operate it as its own company inside the Captura ecosystem.This is a builder role given most of the current team is contracted or outsourced, including engineering. Your job is to decide what the go-forward organization looks like and then build it and then figuring out how to 3x a highly profitable business that has grown 20% per year on autopilot.The work includes:Designing the org: deciding what stays outsourced, what comes in-house, and who to hireBuilding the multi-year strategy to meaningfully scale revenue, not just maintain itOwning marketing, which is how nearly every customer is acquired: paid, lifecycle, partnerships, and communityOwning product, which is how every customer is retained: activation, onboarding, roadmap, and monetizationIdentifying and pursuing adjacent markets where Captura's platform and partner network create an advantageOwning the operating metrics: subscriber growth, trial-to-paid conversion, churn, ARPU, and profitabilityBeing the face of the brand in the wedding and portrait photography marketMust haveExperience in B2B, B2C, or B2B2C SaaSOwnership of a growth outcome at a smaller, high-growth company, whether a full P&L or a product line or category where you were accountable for the numberTrack record of meaningfully scaling a business, not incremental optimizationExperience building or rebuilding a teamEntrepreneurial operator who turns strategy into action without needing directionComfortable being the accountable person at the topScrappy, hands-on, comfortable wearing multiple hats in a lean environmentBased in the United States, ideally EST or CSTNice to haveExperience across both product and marketingExperience in the wedding market, photography software, or an adjacent vertical serving creative professionals or solopreneursExperience leading distributed or offshore teamsEast Coast, for time-zone overlap with the current engineering team and AustraliaMBA
