Their suite covers studio workflow, AI photo enhancement, print lab production, and yearbook creation, helping photography businesses run end-to-end from shoot to final sale.In January 2026, Captura acquired Studio Source Yearbooks. Combined with their legacy yearbook product, Captura's software now creates the yearbook for roughly 1 in every 8 schools in North America.About the roleThe General Manager owns the combined yearbook business and reports to the Chief Product Officer. Full P&L. Five direct reports across Sales, Customer Success, Product, Operations, and Engineering. Roughly 20 people would be under your umbrella today.The business runs at $10M today with a huge opportunity to increase that in the coming years. The work includes:Building the multi-year strategy for revenue, margin, and market expansionUnifying Studio Source and the legacy Captura yearbook product into one go-forward offeringEvolving the model from per-seat software toward Studio Source's turnkey publishing and print solutionUnlocking cross-sell with Captura's high-volume photography business, where the studios and schools are largely the same customersBuilding a segmented go-to-market across photographer partners, school decision-makers, and familiesOwning the operating metrics: school retention, photographer activation, on-time delivery, NPS, conversion, AOVRepresenting the business externally at SPAC, school photography conferences, and customer visitsCompensation is $250K to $300K cash plus bonus and MIUs (equity).Must haveExperience in B2B or B2C or B2B2C softwareExperience working with logistics of physical goods that get shipped (i.e. ecommerce)Ownership of a P&L of a business unit or productTrack record of leading cross-functional teams (Product, Marketing, CS, Operations)Strong analytical chops, with the ability to turn complex data into clear strategic calls on marketing spend, cost of service, and supplier negotiationsEntrepreneurial operator who is biased toward action and comfortable making decisions in ambiguityExecutive communicator who can hold the room with ICs, customers, and the boardWillingness to travel 20% to customers, photographer partners, and industry eventsNice to haveExperience in K-12 product sales, print and manufacturing, or high-volume school photographyExperience integrating an acquisition or bringing two product lines togetherExperience evolving a business model, particularly from licensing toward a turnkey or services-driven offeringFamiliarity with seasonal volume businesses and channel partner dynamicsMBA
