Job Advertisement – Saudi General Practitioner (GP) – Dialysis UnitWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Saudi General Practitioner (GP) to join our Dialysis Unit and contribute to delivering exceptional patient-centered care. The successful candidate will work closely with nephrology consultants, nursing teams, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to provide high-quality chronic hemodialysis services and ensure compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.Position Title* Saudi General Practitioner (GP) – Dialysis UnitKey ResponsibilitiesThe duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:* Perform comprehensive admission examinations for all newly referred patients and accurately document clinical findings.* Conduct and document patient assessments, including vital signs, physical and mental health status, dialysis orders, and compliance with prescribed dietary and medication regimens.* Provide chronic hemodialysis therapy and formulate dialysis treatment plans through various vascular access methods while adhering to all applicable safety protocols for patients with End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD).* Assess patients daily and maintain accurate clinical documentation.* Participate in unit rounds with consulting physicians and discuss patient treatment plans as required.* Inform the Senior Physician of any significant changes in patients’ medical conditions and the actions taken.* Follow Senior Physician instructions regarding individualized patient treatment plans.* Perform clinical procedures and modify patient prescriptions as requested by the Senior Physician.* Evaluate patients upon request from nursing staff and provide appropriate medical interventions.* Document all treatments, follow-up plans, and clinical progress in patient medical records.* Complete comprehensive annual patient reviews and present findings during regular unit meetings after consultant review.* Develop competencies in specialized nephrology-related procedures under senior staff supervision.* Monitor and analyze laboratory investigations, identify abnormalities, and initiate appropriate actions.* Perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and other emergency medical procedures when required.* Initiate emergency treatment plans and ensure complete and accurate documentation.* Participate in mandatory in-service education programs, including CPR certification, Health & Safety training, disaster preparedness, and fire drills.* Participate in clinical audits and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives and clinical outcome implementation.* Participate in departmental educational activities, including medical rounds, tutorials, and journal clubs.* Report incidents or situations that may compromise patient, visitor, or staff safety through the appropriate chain of command.* Deliver high-quality patient care in a respectful, compassionate, and professional manner.* Attend all mandatory onboarding and ongoing training programs.* Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, safety regulations, and clinical standards.* Collaborate effectively with nursing, clinical, and administrative teams.* Perform administrative and clerical duties as required.* Participate actively in the center’s on-call duty roster.* Provide coverage across dialysis centers within Saudi Arabia when required and acknowledge that the assigned workplace may change based on operational needs.* Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including quality measures, medical KPIs, CBAHI standards, and all applicable Saudi healthcare regulatory requirements.⸻Education and QualificationsApplicants must possess:* A Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) degree from an accredited institution.* A valid professional classification and license issued by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) as a General Practitioner or Nephrology Resident.* Valid license to practice medicine in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.⸻Experience and Requirements* Minimum of two (2) years of professional clinical experience following internship or postgraduate medical training, preferably in Internal Medicine and/or Nephrology.* Experience in dialysis or nephrology services is highly desirable.* Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Arabic.
