Founding General PractitionerNew family practice in BassendeanCare Medical Practice | Full-time or part-time | [X%] of billingsCare Medical Practice is opening a new family medical centre in Bassendean, WA. We're looking for an experienced GP to join as a founding clinician, with a say in how the practice runs and the services it offers.You'll work with the owners and Practice Manager while the clinic is being established. We'd like your input on what works well in general practice and what you would want to do differently.Your role in the practiceAlongside your patient consultations, you could help with:Clinical processes: Help plan how appointments, follow-ups and ongoing care are managed, and how GPs work with nursing and reception staff.Services: Suggest areas of care that suit local patients and your clinical interests. We'll agree on the scope and resources before introducing new services.Teamwork: Help establish ways of working that allow clinicians and support staff to communicate well and support each other.We can discuss how involved you'd like to be. Any responsibilities beyond consulting, including the time required and payment, would be agreed upfront.About the practiceWe're setting up a family practice where patients can see their regular GP for ongoing care. The clinic will provide general practice services for children and adults, including preventive care and chronic disease management.Joining at the beginning gives you the chance to influence how the practice develops and build your patient base over time.What we offerRemuneration: [X%] of billings. The practice is planned as a mixed-billing clinic, with service arrangements discussed before you commit.Establishment support: An agreed initial patient volume commitment may be offered during the establishment phase to support the GP while building a patient base.Hours: Full-time or part-time sessions. We'll discuss days, hours and a start date that suit your availability and the practice.Support: Planned nursing, practice management and reception support, with online bookings and practice management software.Clinical interests: We'd welcome interests in women's health, children's health, chronic disease, mental health, preventive care or minor procedures.Telehealth: Care Telehealth sessions may be available alongside in-clinic work, subject to clinical suitability, patient demand, Medicare eligibility and agreed arrangements.We'll explain the launch plans, how we intend to attract patients and what support will be available when the clinic opens. We'll also discuss the arrangements for the early months while bookings build.About youThis role would suit an experienced GP who enjoys looking after patients over time and would like a say in how a new practice develops. We're happy to discuss either full-time or part-time involvement.You'll need current AHPRA registration appropriate to the role, Australian work rights and eligibility to provide Medicare-rebatable GP services at the Bassendean location.
