The General Practitioner will provide comprehensive, patient-centered primary care services, including consultations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up care for individuals and families across all age groups. Daily responsibilities include managing chronic and acute conditions, performing routine health checks, prescribing medications, interpreting diagnostic tests, and coordinating care with other health professionals. The role also involves maintaining accurate clinical records, adhering to clinical guidelines and regulatory requirements, participating in practice meetings, and contributing to quality improvement activities. The General Practitioner will support preventive health initiatives, provide health education, and foster a respectful, inclusive environment for patients and colleagues.Qualifications Demonstrated clinical proficiency in Medicine and Family Medicine, with a strong focus on safe, evidence-based care.Experience in Primary Care, including management of chronic disease, acute presentations, and preventive health.Ability to work collaboratively with Nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care.Commitment to ongoing Training and professional development, including participation in clinical education and updates.Current medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and full registration with AHPRA, with appropriate specialist/general registration for general practice.Current professional indemnity insurance and relevant accreditation for general practice in Australia.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse patient populations.Competence in using clinical software and digital health tools for record-keeping, prescribing, and referrals.Experience in rural or community-based practice and familiarity with local health services is advantageous.
