General Practitioner

Role Description This full-time, on-site General Practitioner role at Northpoint Medical is based in Toowoomba, QLD. The General Practitioner will provide comprehensive primary care, including patient consultations, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of acute and chronic conditions. Daily responsibilities include conducting thorough examinations, ordering and interpreting investigations, prescribing appropriate therapies, and coordinating care with nursing and allied health professionals. The role involves maintaining accurate medical records, participating in preventive health initiatives, delivering patient education, and contributing to quality improvement and clinical governance activities. The General Practitioner will also support continuity of care for individuals and families, and may provide supervision and training to junior clinical staff as required.Qualifications Strong clinical skills in Medicine and Primary Care, with demonstrated ability to manage a broad range of presentations in a general practice setting.Experience or training in Family Medicine, including continuity of care for individuals across different life stages.Ability to collaborate effectively with Nursing and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care.Commitment to ongoing Training and professional development, including participation in continuing medical education and skills updates.Relevant medical degree and current registration, or eligibility for registration, with the appropriate medical board or regulatory authority.Current professional indemnity insurance and compliance with applicable clinical standards and guidelines.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills, with a focus on respectful, culturally sensitive care.Strong organizational and time management abilities to manage appointment schedules and clinical workload effectively.
