Job SummaryOur client, a leading Oil & Gas sector organization operating in Oman, is seeking an OH & EMS Doctor to provide primary and emergency medical care alongside occupational health support at an industrial/site medical facility. • Bachelor of Medicine (MD/MBBS) with certification in Occupational Medicine or equivalent.
• Certification or membership in Emergency Medicine.
• Valid professional medical license/eligibility as applicable.Required Certifications
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)
• START Triage Certification
• Medical Review Officer (MRO) Certification
• HACCP Level 3 Food Safety
• Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
• ECG and Airway Management
• ISO 45001 Auditor Certification
• IOSH Level 3 Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health Principles and PracticeExperience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Emergency Department or Emergency Medical Services.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Occupational Health.
• Oil & Gas industry experience is mandatory.
• Experience in offshore, refinery, petrochemical, or petroleum processing environments is preferred.Key Responsibilities
• Provide primary and emergency medical care.
• Assess, diagnose, and manage emergency and occupational health cases.
• Conduct occupational medical assessments and fitness-to-work evaluations.
• Manage work-related injuries and illnesses.
• Conduct health risk assessments and workplace health surveillance.
• Support hearing, respiratory, heat-stress, and chemical-exposure surveillance programs.
• Provide emergency response, stabilization, triage, and referral when required.
• Maintain accurate medical records and reports.
• Coordinate with HSE and management on occupational health matters.
• Ensure compliance with applicable occupational health and safety standards.Required Skills
• Strong clinical and emergency medical knowledge.
• Good knowledge of occupational health practices.
• Knowledge of work injury classification as per OSHA.
• Ability to handle medical emergencies effectively.
• Strong communication, teamwork, leadership, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently in an industrial/site medical environment.
