GENERATOR TECHNICIAN — SITE OPERATIONS | Abu Dhabi | AED 8,000/month

Sintaqa is hiring site technicians to operate and maintain Cummins KTA50 1250 kVA generating sets on a continuously running site in the Abu Dhabi area.This is a hands-on shift role. You will be on the plant — watching the sets, taking readings, acting on alarms and keeping the power on. You are not expected to carry out major repairs; our service engineers do that. You are the first response when something changes.WHAT YOU WILL DOOperate and monitor the Cummins KTA50 sets throughout your shiftTake hourly readings — oil pressure, coolant temperature, voltage, frequency, load, power factor, running hoursCheck and top up fuel, oil and coolant; drain water from fuel filters and separatorsMonitor day tanks and transfer pumps, and keep the sets fuelledStart, stop and change over sets, and manage load sharing between unitsRespond to alarms — find the cause, take first action, escalate when it is beyond operator levelDaily checks on batteries, belts, hoses, air filters, exhaust and leaksKeep the shift log and alarm log complete and accurateHand over properly to the next shiftWHAT WE NEEDITI, diploma or trade certificate in electrical or mechanical, or equivalent hands-on experience2+ years operating diesel generating sets of 500 kVA or aboveHands-on experience with Cummins engines — KTA50 or similar large frameAble to read a control panel and understand the alarms (PowerCommand, Deep Sea or similar)Knows the difference between a warning and a shutdown, and acts correctly on bothBasic troubleshooting — no-start, low oil pressure, high coolant temperature, fuel problemsComfortable with 12-hour shifts including nights and weekendsEnough English to read a log sheet, write a shift report and speak to the duty engineerHELPFULContinuously running plant experience rather than standbyParalleling and load sharing across multiple setsCummins OEM training
