Our distributed teams collaborate across Genetics, Genomics, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Clinical Research, Data Science, Laboratory Operations, Regulatory Affairs, Ethics, and Executive Leadership to translate scientific discoveries into meaningful research outcomes and future applications.The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Genetic Research Manager to lead genetics and genomics research programmes, scientific strategy, laboratory initiatives, data analysis, and multidisciplinary research teams. The ideal candidate will oversee research design, experimental programmes, genomic data analysis, research quality, scientific partnerships, and responsible use of genetic information while maintaining rigorous scientific, ethical, and regulatory standards.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement genetic research strategies, research portfolios, scientific roadmaps, and programme priorities aligned with organizational objectives.Lead research programmes involving genetics, genomics, molecular biology, population genetics, genetic variation, gene expression, sequencing, and related life-science disciplines.Design and oversee research studies, experimental protocols, laboratory programmes, genomic analyses, sample workflows, data collection, and scientific validation activities.Collaborate with Geneticists, Molecular Biologists, Bioinformaticians, Computational Scientists, Clinical Researchers, Laboratory Specialists, Data Scientists, Regulatory Professionals, Ethics Committees, and Executive Leadership.Establish research methodologies, experimental standards, quality assurance procedures, data governance frameworks, reproducibility standards, and scientific documentation requirements.Oversee genomic sequencing and analysis programmes, including next-generation sequencing (NGS), whole-genome sequencing (WGS), whole-exome sequencing (WES), RNA sequencing, genotyping, and other appropriate molecular techniques.Manage biological sample workflows, laboratory information systems, sample tracking, biobanking coordination, data quality controls, and chain-of-custody procedures where applicable.Lead bioinformatics and computational genomics initiatives involving variant analysis, genomic annotation, population datasets, gene-expression analysis, and statistical genetics.Establish partnerships with universities, research institutes, hospitals, biotechnology organizations, pharmaceutical companies, laboratories, technology providers, and scientific collaborators.Ensure research activities comply with applicable UAE requirements, institutional policies, ethical standards, human-subject protections, data privacy requirements, biosafety procedures, and relevant international research frameworks.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including research milestones, data quality, reproducibility, publication output, grant performance, study completion, scientific impact, collaboration performance, and research portfolio progress.Conduct research reviews, experimental quality assessments, literature reviews, methodological evaluations, data-quality audits, reproducibility assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.Manage research budgets, laboratory resources, sequencing services, scientific equipment, research personnel, external laboratories, grants, technology platforms, and strategic research partnerships.Drive digital transformation through artificial intelligence (AI)-assisted genomic analysis, machine learning, automated variant interpretation, predictive modelling, high-performance computing, genomic data platforms, and advanced bioinformatics workflows.Utilize Illumina sequencing platforms, Thermo Fisher Scientific technologies, BGI platforms, Benchling, Galaxy, Bioconductor, R, Python, MATLAB, AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, LIMS, laboratory databases, and bioinformatics tools to support research programmes.Prepare scientific reports, research publications, grant proposals, executive dashboards, genomic analysis summaries, research portfolio reviews, technical presentations, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership.Lead, mentor, and develop geneticists, molecular biologists, bioinformaticians, laboratory scientists, research associates, data analysts, and multidisciplinary research teams while fostering a culture of scientific integrity, collaboration, innovation, reproducibility, and continuous improvement.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Genetics, Genomics, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biology, Biomedical Science, Bioinformatics, or a related life-science discipline.Master's degree or Ph.D. in Genetics, Genomics, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Biomedical Science, or a related field is highly advantageous.Professional certifications, research credentials, laboratory qualifications, or memberships with recognized genetics, genomics, biotechnology, or scientific organizations are preferred.Minimum 5 years of experience in genetic research, genomics, molecular biology, biotechnology, bioinformatics, biomedical research, or related scientific fields.At least 2 years of experience managing genetic research programmes, laboratory teams, genomics projects, scientific collaborations, or multidisciplinary research initiatives preferred.Strong understanding of genetics, genomics, molecular biology, sequencing technologies, bioinformatics, genetic variation, experimental design, statistics, research methodology, and scientific data management.Experience with Illumina sequencing platforms, Thermo Fisher Scientific technologies, Benchling, Galaxy, Bioconductor, R, Python, MATLAB, cloud computing platforms, LIMS, genomic databases, and bioinformatics workflows.Familiarity with AI-powered genomic analysis, machine learning, automated variant interpretation, precision medicine research, single-cell genomics, multi-omics, high-throughput sequencing, and advanced computational biology is highly advantageous.Strong scientific leadership, communication, analytical thinking, research management, stakeholder management, project management, grant management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple research initiatives while balancing scientific rigor, ethical requirements, data privacy, laboratory resources, research timelines, funding constraints, regulatory obligations, and organizational priorities.Ability to work effectively in a remote environment with distributed scientists, laboratories, universities, biotechnology organizations, clinical researchers, technology partners, and global research collaborators, with occasional travel for laboratory activities, scientific conferences, research meetings, collaboration visits, and strategic planning sessions as required.What We
