Geoscientist

One of our major oil & gas clients, is currently looking for Geoscientists to join their team in Spring, Texas. The role would be focused within their Low carbon solutions group, focusing on carbon capture and sequestration work. It would be a one-year contract to start and located in Spring, Texas.Field geological and geophysical interpretation through integration of seismic, well log, core, fluid, and regional geological datasets; 3D reservoir characterization through structural and stratigraphic analysis; geological framework development for modeling work; CO2 potential and volumetric assessment; subsurface risk communication on seal quality and other risks; and collaborative appraisal well planning to de-risk identified uncertainties.Geoscience mapping and interpretation with Petrel proficiency — covering seismic interpretation, well ties, log correlation, structural and stratigraphic analysis, and geological framework development.Subsurface characterization for carbon storage, including risk assessment of confining zone quality and continuity, and fault characterization and analysis.Uncertainty analysis and volumetric assessment.Requirements5-10+ years of geoscience experience (10+ preferred) with strong Petrel skills, including seismic interpretation, well log correlation, structural/stratigraphic mapping, and reservoir characterization.
