This role serves as the primary regional risk decision-maker, ensuring effective risk monitoring, analysis, reporting, and escalation of material risks while supporting business objectives and maintaining compliance with internal and external requirements. Responsibilities:We are seeking a professional to lead risk and compliance activities across the Americas region. Main responsibilities include:Oversee and validate Mark-to-Market (M2M) exposure reporting and monitor supplier and client exposure risks. Define, manage, and periodically review counterparty and country credit limits.Manage prepayment exposure monitoring, approvals, and financial analysis.Lead accounts receivable escalation processes and oversee payment recovery strategies. Develop and implement default and recovery plans for counterparties across the region.Own and coordinate the monthly provisions process, ensuring proper documentation and support.Identify risk breaches, exceptions, and unusual patterns, escalating issues when necessary.Monitor regulatory compliance requirements and ensure timely statutory reporting.Coordinate annual audits related to BASC, CTPAT, and other compliance certifications.Maintain and update internal risk and compliance policies.Lead, coach, and develop the Risk & Compliance team.Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, entrepreneurship, and continuous improvement. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.Minimum 10 years of experience in risk management, credit analysis, financial analysis, or similar roles.Experience working across multiple countries or regions is highly desirable.Strong knowledge of commodities markets.Expertise in counterparty risk, credit exposure, and financial analysis.Knowledge of AML/KYC processes, regulatory reporting, compliance certifications, and audit practices.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Availability to travel occasionally for business purposes. Advanced financial analysis and risk assessment skills.Ability to evaluate complex risk scenarios and make sound business decisions.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to work independently and exercise professional judgment.Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.Commercial acumen and understanding of business risk impacts.Excellent interpersonal relationship management with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
