DFA combines up-to-date teaching techniques with carefully developed technical materials and now serves more than 4,500 students annually across multiple branches in Egypt and online. Its certificates are accredited by leading German universities, including Goethe University Frankfurt and a university in Berlin, following international exam guidelines. DFA also operates a dedicated examination entity, SET – Spracherwerb testen, which manages internal and external exams with independent examiners and facilities.Role Description The German Tutor will deliver high-quality German language instruction to students at various levels, using DFA’s curriculum and modern teaching methods. This full-time, hybrid role is based in Alexandria, Egypt, with a mix of in-person classes at the institute and some work-from-home teaching and preparation. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning lessons, conducting interactive classes, assigning and correcting exercises, assessing learner progress, and preparing students for accredited exams. The tutor will provide constructive feedback, support learners’ individual needs, and maintain accurate records of attendance and performance. Collaboration with colleagues to refine teaching materials, participate in training, and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment is also expected.Qualifications Strong command of the German language (advanced C1/C2 level) and excellent ability to explain grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation clearly.Experience in teaching German as a foreign language, preferably in an institute or school setting, with familiarity with communicative and exam-oriented teaching methods.Competence in lesson planning, classroom management, and learner assessment, including preparing students for standardized or accredited language exams.Ability to use online teaching platforms, digital tools, and multimedia resources to deliver engaging hybrid (in-person and online) lessons.Excellent communication skills, patience, and intercultural sensitivity, with a learner-centered approach and commitment to inclusive education.Bachelor’s degree in German Studies, Education, Linguistics, or a related field; teaching certifications such as DaF/DaZ or equivalent are an advantage.Organizational skills and reliability in managing schedules, class documentation, and exam-related requirements.Willingness to work full time in Alexandria, Egypt, with flexibility for occasional evening or weekend classes as needed.
