Connect and collaborate with colleagues across our markets, working within diverse and inclusive teams.The role may be based in our London or Glasgow office.Job DescriptionThe GIS Manager role is hybrid, combining leadership and governance responsibilities with hands-on GIS delivery and technical contributions.Your responsibilities will include:Leading and developing the UK GIS teamManaging reporting, procurement, and supplier relationshipsImplementing and maintaining GIS governance, standards, and best practices in line with central IT directionEnsuring compliance with GIS policies, data management procedures, and approved tools across UK projectsSupporting and promoting the effective use of GIS solutions across the businessProviding GIS expertise to development, project delivery, asset management, and operations teamsCollaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and the global GIS communityContributing to the continuous improvement of GIS capabilities and ways of workingUndertaking site visits, attending industry events, and maintaining professional developmentSupporting wider business initiatives and strategic projects as requiredUndertaking occasional UK and international travelQualificationsUniversity degree in a relevant field, or GIS Diploma with experience in a similar field, creating maps and visual data for projectsExcellent computer skills with proficiency in MS Office suiteKnowledge of GIS software and platforms, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise and/or ArcGIS Online, geodatabases, and FME and/or PythonAbility to adapt to other new software and systemsAbility to manage a large workload in a dynamic, fast-paced working environmentAbility to build relationships quickly and work across different project teamsExperience procuring digital mapping informationExperience in a leadership role, or a clear aptitude for leadershipExperience creating Registers of Scotland or HM Land Registry compliant plans (desirable)Additional InformationA career with Statkraft is a career filled with purpose – meaning that every employee is not just making a living, they are making a real difference to the planet, our communities, and the future.
