Contract: 12 months (subject to extension).Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands.Salary: Not a constraint for the right candidate!Experience: 6-8 years.Hybrid: 2 days Work from Home 3 days Work from OfficeYour Profile & DNA:We are looking for an experienced GitHub Copilot Expert / AI-Assisted Development Specialist to lead the adoption and optimization of AI-assisted software development across enterprise engineering teams.The ideal candidate will combine deep software development expertise with hands-on experience using GitHub Copilot and other AI-powered coding assistants. You will be responsible for driving developer adoption, establishing best practices, improving engineering productivity, and ensuring secure and compliant usage of AI-assisted development tools.Roles & ResponsibilitiesLead the enterprise-wide implementation and adoption of GitHub Copilot across development teams.Provide hands-on development support and demonstrate effective usage of GitHub Copilot in real-world coding scenarios.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Copilot, GitHub integrations, and developer workflows.Collaborate with software engineering teams to improve development productivity, code quality, and delivery speed.Define, document, and promote best practices for AI-assisted software development.Conduct workshops, training sessions, and technical demonstrations to increase developer adoption and proficiency.Partner with architects, engineering managers, and technical leads to align Copilot usage with enterprise development standards and governance.Monitor usage metrics and analyze productivity improvements resulting from AI-assisted development.Ensure adherence to secure coding standards, compliance requirements, and responsible AI usage policies.Evaluate emerging AI development tools and recommend enhancements to the engineering ecosystem.Mentor developers on leveraging AI tools effectively while maintaining high coding standards.Qualification & ExperienceA Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.8–10 years of hands-on software development experience.Strong programming expertise in Python (preferred), Java, .NET, or similar modern programming languages.Extensive experience with the GitHub ecosystem, including: GitHub Repositories, Git workflows, Pull Requests, Branching strategies, Code reviewsPractical hands-on experience with GitHub Copilot or similar AI-powered coding assistants.Strong understanding of: Software engineering principles, Design patterns, Clean Code, practices, Code quality standardsExperience with Azure DevOps and Azure CI/CD pipelines.Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and code optimization skills.Experience working with Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms.Understanding of Agile software development methodologies.Nice-to-Have SkillsExperience leading enterprise-wide GitHub Copilot rollout and governance.Knowledge of AI/ML-powered developer productivity tools.Experience with:DatabricksData EngineeringREST APIsMicroservices architectureUnderstanding of security, privacy, and compliance considerations related to AI-assisted software development.Experience defining AI governance policies within enterprise environments.What do we offer?If your profile matches the job requirement and you are interested to be presented to our clients, then please apply and don’t forget to attach your updated CV in line with the JD!This position is for 1 year with possibility of extension.
