Glazing System Engineer

Glazing System Engineer Kaprel is looking for an experienced Glazing System Engineer to take ownership of the development, performance and continuous improvement of our product systems across the Group. The successful candidate will develop a detailed understanding of every component that makes up a Kaprel system, including aluminium profiles, glass, seals, gaskets, acoustic components, hardware, doors, sliding mechanisms, fixings and interfaces with surrounding construction. Key ResponsibilitiesPrimary responsible for Product Engineering, New Product Development, Testing & Product performance Value Engineering, Technical Problem Solving, Technical Documentation, Manufacturing & Supplier Development and Product Standardization. Works closely with Managing Director on the development and continuous improvement of Kaprel’s aluminium, glass, partition, door and movable wall systems.Identify and resolve recurring technical, manufacturing and site issues.Lead new product development from concept and prototyping through testing and production.Review engineering drawings, components, tolerances, hardware and manufacturing methods.Drive value engineering, cost reduction, reliability and ease of installation.Coordinate product testing, certification and performance improvements.Develop and maintain technical drawings, specifications, BOMs and product documentation.Work closely with manufacturing teams, suppliers, projects, procurement and other departments across UAE, Saudi Arabia and India.Drive product standardisation and ensure consistent technical standards across the Group.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in architectural aluminium, glass systems, doors, façades, movable walls, architectural hardware or building products. Strong understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, aluminium systems, hardware and manufacturing processes.Experience with CAD, product development, prototyping and product testing.Strong analytical and root-cause problem-solving skills.Hands-on, detail-oriented and commercially aware when making engineering decisions.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across multiple teams and countries.
