Global Category Lead

EMEA Recruitment is exclusively partnering with a leading global FMCG organization to recruit a commercially driven Global Category Lead to join its Global Procurement function based in Amsterdam.Reporting to the Head of Procurement, you will play a key role in developing and delivering the Digital & Technology Procurement strategy. You will partner with senior stakeholders across the business to drive value, optimize supplier performance, and deliver commercial savings.Working with global technology partners such as Microsoft, SAP, and Accenture, you will also lead strategic sourcing activities, negotiate complex commercial agreements, and build long-term supplier relationships that support business objectives.Key Responsibilities of the Global Category Lead:Develop and execute the Digital & Technology procurement strategyLead strategic sourcing and supplier selection activitiesNegotiate high-value technology and software contractsManage relationships with key global technology suppliersIdentify cost-saving and value creation opportunitiesPartner with regional and global stakeholders to deliver procurement initiativesSupport continuous improvement across procurement processes and governanceCandidate profile:We're looking for someone who hasSignificant experience in IT, Digital or Technology Procurement, ideally from an FMCG environmentStrong commercial negotiation and contract management skillsExperience managing strategic supplier relationshipsExcellent stakeholder management and influencing abilitiesA structured, organized approach with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesStrong financial and commercial acumen with a focus on delivering business valueIf you are interested in applying for the Category Lead position, please register your interest using the link below.
