About the RoleOur client is a multinational industrial organisation seeking an experienced IT leader to oversee its technology function across multiple international locations.The role covers IT strategy, infrastructure, enterprise applications, manufacturing technology, service delivery, governance and transformation, supported by a lean internal team and external technology partners.Based in Malaysia, with regional and global stakeholder exposure.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the global IT strategy, roadmap and governance in alignment with business objectives.Oversee IT operations including infrastructure, networks, cloud, workplace technology and service delivery.Lead enterprise applications and technology supporting business and manufacturing operations.Drive IT transformation, major projects and continuous technology improvement.Manage strategic IT vendors, outsourcing partners, contracts and service levels.Own IT budgeting, forecasting and cost optimization.Provide IT leadership for business integrations, separations and organisational change where required.Lead and develop a geographically distributed IT team and manage the balance between internal capabilities and external partners.Act as a key technology partner to senior management and business stakeholders.Requirements10+ years of IT experience, with significant leadership experience.Proven experience leading IT across multiple sites, countries or business units.Background in manufacturing, industrial, engineering or other operationally intensive environments.Strong knowledge across IT operations, infrastructure and enterprise applications.Experience managing IT vendors, outsourcing / managed services and commercial contracts.Experience managing IT budgets and driving cost efficiency.Strong exposure to IT transformation, governance, risk and compliance.Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.Experience working within a multinational / multicultural environment.Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business or related discipline.Strong English communication skills.PreferredPrevious experience as an IT Director, Regional IT Head, CIO or equivalent.Experience within complex manufacturing or industrial environments.Exposure to ERP, manufacturing systems or operational technology.Experience with large-scale outsourcing or managed-service models.Exposure to M&A, divestments, integrations or business separations.ITIL or relevant professional certification.
